for Preparation and Use |

The amount of HOM 2 needed
to supplement total daily protein requirements (other than
methionine) depends on age, body weight and individual methionine
tolerance. The dose of HOM 2 must be determined
by a physician or dietitian and adjusted periodically. Diets
with HOM 2 must contain adequate amounts of energy, essential
fatty acids and methionine to meet daily requirements.
The daily amount required should be divided into 3 to 5 single
portions and can be taken mixed with calculated amounts of
other food (e.g. beverages, fruit mousse). For accuracy, HOM
2 should be weighed on a gram scale. |
