Directions for Preparation and Use:

The amount of PKU 2 needed to supplement total daily protein requirements (other than phenylalanine) depends on age, body weight, and individual phenylalanine tolerance. The dose of PKU 2 must be determined by a physician or dietitian and adjusted periodically. Diets with PKU 2 must contain adequate amounts of energy, essential fatty acids and phenylalanine to meet daily requirements.

The daily amount required should be divided into 3 to 5 single portions and can be taken mixed with calculated amounts of other food (e.g. beverages, fruit mousse, and solid foods). For accuracy, PKU 2 should be weighed on a gram scale.
