Milupa PKU 2 Tomato

A low- phenylalanine, amino-acid based medical food for the dietary management of phenylketonuria (PKU) in children over 5 years of age and adults, including pregnant women and women of child-bearing age.

  • Phenylketonuria (PKU)
  • Hyperphenylalaninemia (HPA)

Directions for Preparation and Use:

The simple one dose packing of Milupa PKU 2 Tomato allows individuals to easily divide the total amount of medical food needed into several portions over the course of the day as recommended. The content of one sachet (portion) dissolves in 4.2 fl oz (125 mL) warm or hot drinking water (approximately 122°F).  Stir well.  Enjoy chilled or warm. 

The daily protein need from medical food can be covered by PKU 2 Tomato alone or in combination with other Milupa or Nutricia products (e.g. Milupa PKU 2, Milupa PKU 3, Maxamaid, Maxamum, Lophlex, Periflex, Phlexy-10). Diets with Milupa PKU 2 Tomato must contain adequate amounts of energy and phenylalanine to meet daily requirements.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Stir into a sauce, sprinkle onto a pasta salad, use as a seasoner or as a savory recipe add-in
  • Enjoy with Milupa snacks, Loprofin crackers or Loprofin pasta.

Precaution:

  • Must be used under medical supervision
  • For children over age of 5 years, adolescents and adults
  • Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition
  • Not for parenteral use
  • Not to be used by non-PKU/HPA individuals

Storage:

  • Store unopened packs at room temperature (<77°F). Once opened, content of individual stick packs should be used immediately.
